There are several possible interferences in Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), which are spectral, chemical and physical interferences. The main focus of this video is to minimise spectral interferences which arise from background absorption from another element, solvent or fuels. This background absorption can be subtracted by using a beam chopper and D2 lamp.
